“Real beer real prices“: A venue full of locals. No nonsense, no gimmicks. Only went for drinks which were good and cheap at approx 1.50 per pint. People friendly enough.

“Meal time.“: After having been to several Old Town pubs we were in need of a hearty Czech meal and as we were close to U Dvou Kocek we thought we would drop into here for a meal and a beer. This is an ancient tavern, it’s been open since 1678 ,the interior is fantastic in this multi roomed pub, it’s an authentic Czech pub with heavy wooden table’s and chairs and great decor and furnishings, there’s interesting wall art and at one side of the pub they have big shiny brewing vats prominently on display, it really is one great pub. We were here on a Wednesday afternoon and this place was packed with a cracking atmosphere,we luckily managed to get a table were a very pleasant member of staff who took our order of a couple of beers, we opted to have that most Czech of beers namely Pilsner Urquell while we checked out the menu. The beers were superb and for our meal we opted to start with a soup served with bread followed by goulash. The soup was excellent, great taste, thick and creamy and a great start to our Meal, we soon moved onto the goulash which was again delicious, lovely dumplings, lovely thick beef and gravy and very filling and coupled with our delicious beers made for a great dining experience in a wonderful old tavern. We really enjoyed our meals and beers in here before moving on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
