Our restaurant, ČESKÝ RÁJ, offers its visitors a wide variety of traditional Czech dishes such as „Svíčková“ – roast beef in cream sauce served with dumplings , beer chilli goulash, roasted spare rib with white cabbage , Old Bohemian“ roasted duck with traditional dumplings. Taste the delicious roast pork knee, spicy barbecue pork ribs or beef tartare (minced beef) and discover the true senses of Bohemia in the very heart of it.

“Great find“: While wandering around off the main thoroughfares, we wanted lunch and came across the Pesky Raj, although It would be quite easy to walk right past without noticing it. However we did and descended down into its cellar location. A traditional interior which was warm and welcoming. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and nothing was to much trouble. This lead to a great lunch with some traditional food accompanied by a excellent local red wine. It was finished off with a hot raspberry desert which was excellent. The prices were very good and I would defiantly recommend this as a place to eat.

“Excellent beer and authentic food“: We had to book the brewery room to ensure no smokers. The beer was excellent especially the white beer. Smooth and tasty and no heavy heads the next day. The food was excellent although we did steer away from knees and other traditional animal parts. Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The brewery room has mellow lighting and a quiet ambience where it was easy to chat over dinner. They also sell souvenirs including the beer and tee shirts. Couldn’t fault it. Don’t miss it.

“The best of visited restaurants“: Excellent czech food served with a smile. Very attentive staff who helped us with choice of food and local wines (both excellent choices!) Really encourage to try their local czech wines which were excellent! Give it a try!
