From Tripadvisor.com reviews of Hotel Beránek:

Good value hotel a short walk from the top end of Wencelas Square“: This is a mid-range hotel a few hundred meters from the top of Wenceslas Square and the National Museum. Nearest metro = Muzeum or IP Pavolva. The main railway station is close by. Old Town Square is 10-15 minutes walk. Room was airy and spacious, with clean modern bathroom. Staff were efficient. Buffet Breakfast was included and was standard fare of cold meats, cheese, eggs, breads, yoghurt etc. There are various shops, bars and restaurants nearby and because this is slightly away from the tourist traps, prices are lower.

Nice night“: I spend one night in this nice and clean hotel in a walking distance from the Wenceslas square and museum, and just a bit further from the touristic old town center. Public transportation, trams and subway are close if can’t or don’t want to walk. Room was nice and bathroom clean. Bed was maybe a bit too soft for my taste and the aircondition had to keep on, since without it the room became hot. Staff was very helpful and nice and breakfast was good. Recommended if you don´t have to stay in the very middle of everything.

HAPIMAG PRAGUE

Contemporary art, classical concerts, the local jazz scene: The capital of the Czech Republic has so much to offer. The Hapimag Resort Prague is just a few steps from the National Museum and, with its simply yet stylishly furnished holiday apartments, is the ideal starting point for tours of discovery, shopping trips and excursions into the Prague nightlife. The political and cultural centre of the city is the famous Prague Castle. Stroll along the Vltava River and over the historic Charles Bridge from the time of Charles IV. Discover the many attractions and historic buildings from different epochs on foot or on a city tour. The contrast between past and present will accompany your every step. Observing the lively goings-on in the streets and alleyways of the old town over beer and dumplings is a very pleasant experience. Then take a walk over Old Town Square, past Gothic attractions and onto cubist buildings and art nouveau villas. The locals know that you can walk through entire city districts of Prague without using public roads. This is possible because of the nooks and crannies of the countless passageways that remain hidden to most tourists. The passageways are of unique architectural significance. The most beautiful of these hidden passageways, Lucerna, is located just a few steps away from the Hapimag Resort Prague. A cosy boat trip along the Vltava River is an essential part of any holiday in Prague and passengers enjoy watching the attractions of the Golden City float past as if in a film.
