From the observation deck of the tower at a height of 40 m you get an unusual view of the river and city. The permanent exhibition charts the historical development of Prague’s first private water supply from the first private water mains from the 12th century through the Renaissance period Vltava waterworks and late 19th century water supply construction, all the way through to the present. Písek Gate (Písecká brána)

The Písek Gate was formerly a part of the Baroque fortifications of Prague known as the Marian Walls. It is wedged between the bastions of St George and St Ludmila. You’ll find it close to the Summer Palace of Queen Anne, a short distance away from the Hradčanská metro station. After viewing the gallery, you can take a break in the pleasant café, which is a part of the premises. Petřín Funicular (Lanová dráha na Petřín)

Petřín Funicular (Lanová dráha na Petřín)

The Petřín funicular runs along the route Újezd – Nebozízek – Petřín and links to tram lines at the Újezd stop. At the very top it crosses over the Hunger Wall. The two-carriage funicular reaches a height of more than 130 m on a 510 m long track. The funicular was originally water-powered when it began operating in 1891; it was electrified in 1932. Due to extensive landslides, operation of the funicular was suspended in 1965 for 20 years. Ogilvy & Mather

Ogilvy & Mather

Just as with Classic 7, the advertising agency’s home combines history with fresh design. Originally the Prague Bakery and Soda Water Company building, it became the home of the largest Czech advertising agency in 2003. In 2012, it got a fresh face resembling battleship camouflage. Because the building is located close to the docks, it took its creative inspiration from the local nautical history. Mirror Maze (Zrcadlové bludiště Petřín)

Mirror Maze (Zrcadlové bludiště Petřín)

A favourite spot for children and adults alike. From the outside, this building resembles a small castle, but inside, instead of a labyrinth with mysterious stone hallways, you’ll find one made of mirrors. First you’ll make your way through the maze to the diorama of the battle of the Praguers against the Swedes at Charles Bridge in 1648 and then through the “hall of laughter” where warped and twisted mirrors will change your appearance in crazy ways.   Contacts Mirror Maze (Zrcadlové bludiště Petřín) Petřínské sady 118 00 Praha 1- Malá Strana http://www.muzeumprahy.cz/prazske-veze/ muzeum@muzeumprahy.cz Object history The Mirror Maze was built according to a project of architect Wiehl as a pavilion of the Czech Tourists Club at Prague Jubilee exhibition in 1891. Holešovický měšťanský pivovar (Holešovice Town Brewery)

Holešovický měšťanský pivovar (Holešovice Town Brewery)

A late 19th century brewery that at the time of its founding led to the ruin of many smaller breweries. Many Praguers have tasted the local beer, as it was brewed here under the “Měšťan” brand until 1998. Today the brewery premises serve as an office complex. It was declared a cultural monument for its exceptional architecture combining Romanticism with Renaissance and Gothic elements, as well as its high level of technical execution. Holešovice Docks

Holešovice Docks

The Holešovice docks, an important technical monument as well as the only port in Prague which connects boat transport with rail and road, has definitely seen better days, but remains worthy of a visit. The original buildings at the dock are in Art Nouveau style, softening Holešovice’s industrial feel. The atmosphere is enhanced by the contrast between the poetically rusting boats and the modern Prague Marina luxury apartment complex. Gorlice

Gorlice

The largest underground space at Vyšehrad was created as part of the 33rd bastion of the Baroque fortifications. The vault, measuring 330 m2 in area and 13 m in height, was originally intended for the gathering of troops, food storage, and use as a munitions store. The space was renovated and made accessible to the public in the 1990s as part of the tour of the casements (walled corridors for troops) and is now home to six of the original statues from the Charles Bridge.
