Garden Café Taussig

The Garden Café Taussig offers a calm stay in the Taussig garden with a view of Prague Castle. The Café features a work training programme for people with mental disabilities who take part in all activities on the Café. We offer desserts, beverages, light dishes. Open daily from 15th April till October: Mon-Fri 11:00-19:00, weekends, holidays: 12:00-19:00.

“Nice Place, Good Prices, Awesome View…and Social Project Support!“: We found this café at random during some Prague visiting day. If you go down from Petřín in direction to Malostranské Square, you can find a nice place called Café Taussig. It is a “social project” café, employing disabled people (physicaly, mentaly, socialy,…). But all service goes very good and it is worth spending some part of your lifetime. Meal is good, prices on average. Also you can choose from a lot of refreshing drinks (I recommend Bernard Bier, which is refreshing really big time and cheap – some 1 EUR per 0,5l !!). The meal for 3 people, including drink (and a lot of my Bernard bier!) we paid some 20 EUR (including waiter’s tip) so I consider it very rewarding.
I really recomend this place if you want to rest a little bit in warm summer day… There is a nice shadowy garden, sunny garden and another “middle-sun” garden, frankly speaking, 1 large garden with a lot of nice places. You can find shadow, sun, hide, whatever you prefer. Perfect place for rest; just to lay in grass and think about the age of aquarius (“Hair 1979”) 🙂

“Great, romantic, peaceful, amazing, you name it!“: This place should be advertised more. The garden in the right side is just lovely! And so peacefull, and with great view on the Prague castle. The service is good, and the prices are really good! Its one of my favourite places in Prague, and I am happy that the season for this cafe is already here.
